About Us
We are passionately committed to providing each individual the opportunity to learn the art of dance in a positive, structured, and inspiring environment. Our teachers have a rare combination of professional performing careers and college education in dance.
We offer individual attention, respect towards each student, and gentle guidance through the proper techniques of dance. We focus on the proper use of the body while developing artistry and self-expression within each dancer. We believe in an open forum for our team of teachers to communicate on the progress of our students and to discuss ideas for improvement in achieving our goals. We are dedicated to being a part of our community by encouraging communication through art. We believe through sharing our performances and providing a place where members of our community are welcome to learn the art of dance, that we add to the depth and diversity that makes up our community.
?Dance Force is a family owned business operated by Caroline Browder Black, Lauren Browder Ankersoe and Mary Lu Browder, a mother and daughters team. We are a warm and caring place for all of our students. The students are challenged by their instructors and always leave the classes feeling positive about themselves knowing they are amongst great friends for life.
?We have taught children poise, grace, art and athletic skills. But more than that, we have helped students learn the art and discipline of dance. At Dance Force we provide an atmosphere for achieving a certain level of fitness, discipline, excellence and have professional teachers in a professional environment.

Dance Force is a premier dance studio in Clarksville, TN, dedicated to providing high-quality dance education in a positive, structured, and inspiring environment. As a family-owned business led by a passionate mother-and-daughters team—Caroline Browder Black, Lauren Browder Ankersoe, and Mary Lu Browder—Dance Force blends professional performance experience with advanced dance education to create a truly unique learning experience.
From the very beginning, Dance Force has been committed to helping each student grow not only as a dancer, but as an individual. Our instructors bring a rare combination of real-world performance backgrounds and formal dance education, allowing them to provide expert guidance while nurturing creativity and self-expression. We focus on proper technique, body awareness, and artistry, ensuring that every dancer builds a strong foundation while developing confidence and discipline.
What truly sets Dance Force apart is the level of personal attention each student receives. We believe in respecting every dancer’s journey, offering gentle guidance and encouragement while challenging them to reach their full potential. Our team works collaboratively, regularly communicating about student progress to ensure consistent growth and development.
Our studio itself reflects our commitment to excellence. With over 9,000 square feet of space, five fully equipped dance studios featuring marley sprung floors, comfortable waiting areas, and parent viewing monitors, we provide a professional and welcoming environment for both students and families. Conveniently located with ample parking and nearby shopping, Dance Force is designed with your experience in mind.
